Upon arriving in the United States with only $200 in his pocket, Shihan Matsumoto arrived at CFC, met Shihan Eddie Yoshimura, and with his assistance, received permanent residency, became employed at the Chicago Merchantile Exchange, opened a dojo in Arlington Heights, IL and the rest is history. Shihan Matsumoto co-founded the US Shidokan Association with Shihan Eddie and currently handles all corrispondence between US Shidokan and Japan Shidokan.
