____________Jens Pulver Training Seminar
___________ April 27, 2008
On April 27th, 2008 Chicago Fitness Center was proud to present, three time UFC Lightweight Champion, and runner up for the WEC title, Jens ”Lil Evil” Pulver. Jens is a very dominant and powerful fighter, his techniques are aggressive and effective. Jens is very strong at his stand up and ground game, which makes him a true Mixed Martial Artist.
The seminar started off with Jens exhibiting various techniques in Muay Thai, Wrestling, and Jiu Jitsu. He demonstrated pummeling, wrestling switches, various take down techniques, and several different headlocks and chokes. He also showed his “Dirty Boxing” style, in which he specializes in. The crowd attending the seminar was intrigued by his unique fighting style.
Halfway through the seminar, Jens was overwhelmed with emotions and shed tears of joy after receiving some much anticipated news. He continued the seminar with more energy, which inspired him to share a few “secret moves”.
Towards the end, he sat down and answered questions and conversed with the attendees. He expressed his individual thoughts and stories about his past fights, his experienceont the reality tv show “The Ultimate Fighter”, and his personal feelings towards certain other fighters. Jens talked about his upcoming title fight with the current WEC Champion, Urijah Faber, on June 1st. He joked about his “secret” moves he plans on executing. He ended the class with introducing his fiancé Kannika, taking pictures with the attendees, and signing autographs.
When asked about his opinion on what he thinks of Chicago Fitness Center, he was quick to respond that “it is an awesome training facility for fighters and people that just wanna workout.” Jens also said he was looking forward to coming out and doing another seminar in the near future and showing a few moves in the newly built octagon located on the premises.
Chicago Fitness Center would truly like to thank Jens Pulver for coming out and training with us. We look forward to future visits from Jens Pulver.
